

Alice Rolston passed away on March 19, 2017 in Missouri City, Texas at the age of 74. She was born on August 11, 1942 in Havana, Kansas to Cleon Ross and Laura Smith Ross, who preceded her in death. Alice is further preceded in death by her husband Ralph Rolston; son, Ricky Dunham; and her brother, Harrison Ross. She is survived by her son Troy Dunham; granddaughter, Tori Dunham; 2 great grandchildren, Alizay Torres and Dallas Torres; 1 brother, Dale Ross; and 2 sisters, Judy Derry and Norma Thompson.
Alice lived life to the fullest, and had a kind and generous giving spirit. She was dedicated to her job at Texas Instruments, and a committed loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She relished her experiences of various cultures in her many travels overseas. She loved painting, and was an artist. The walls of her home are filled with her paintings. She enjoyed time spent doing needle point and sharing her beautiful works of art. Alice was also talented at making holiday treats. Every year she would make fudge, and other candy to share with her neighbors. She took great pride in her neighborhood and was involved in her neighborhood home owners association. Interestingly, Alice kept up with current reality television shows, her favorites were Big Brother and Survivor. However each day she made sure she didn’t miss her favorite soap, Days of Our Lives. Alice and her sister Judy had a standing dinner date every Friday and Judy was her casino trip partner. She will be missed and her memory cherished.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477. A reception with the family will follow at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
