We were so sorry to hear of Andy's death. He and your family are in our prayers.

Andy was one of the most pure-hearted people I've ever known.  He didn't have a mean bone in his body.  He was so kind and cheerful and easygoing.  He radiated a quiet faith.  I loved doing crossword puzzles with him-- he was a whiz and knew everything.  Deepest sympathies to his family and his Holy Cross confreres.

I knew Andy through Fr. Dan Parrish.  Andy was a wonderful person who was not only extremely bright but a very good person.  I always enjoyed talking to Andy, particularly about sports.  I will miss Andy when I visit the ND campus in the future, but I will have fond memories of Andy each time I return.  God bless you Andy.

My sympathy is with your family during this difficult time. We knew Fr. Andy when he was at Christ the King in South Bend, and I always felt a close connection to him, since we lost a child to a brain tumor.  Fr. Andy was a kind soul.  They are both in heaven with God now. God Bless you.

Andy and I went to high school together. I remember a series of conversations we had around 96 or 97- he was on his pathway to the priesthood and was working with some people who had done some things that were fundamentally opposed to his own beliefs.  We had many conversations about that experience, and, in those conversations, he taught me so much about compassion. I have returned to those conversations many times in my mind and  tried to follow his lead and show compassion instead of judgment.  Though I frequently failed, his words provided a moral touchstone for me.  I wish I'd told him how much I relied upon his words when he was alive.  He was a wonderful man who touched so many lives, and always in a positive way.  He will be missed.

It was an absolute Blessing to have known Father Andy...as he served Our Lord as Parochial Vicar of the Tricommunity Parish in Colorado Springs...Father Andy was a truly holy priest...in love with Our Lord, our Roman Catholic Church, and all his parishioners...We loved him...and will remember him in our prayers...and also his family.

the last time i saw andy and karen was in south bend  in 1996 when andy and royce graduated. the first time i met andy he was three or four years old when your family visited us in alvin.  the picture in the obit is such a good picture of andy. he matured into such a handsome young man. i saved all the pictures of the 1996 graduation.

I met Andy in high school and we quickly became good friends.  He was one of the kindest people I'd ever met and I will always cherish the memories I have of him.

Our sympathy to the family.  We remember Fr Andy as he did our marriage preparations at Christ the King Parish in South Bend in 2004.

We remember Andy's name from our 2011 Run for the Rose.  Someone donated in his honor.  We send our condolences.  It does seem as though the brightest and the kindest young people develop brain tumors, much to our great sadness. A cure can never come soon enough. May his memory be as a blessing.

I knew Andy at St. Thomas More.  One of the smartest and nicest guys I have had the pleasure of knowing in my lifetime.  May his family find comfort and may he rest in peace.

My Aunt & Uncle, Isabelle and Leo Michael were residents of the Sanctuary at Holy Cross Nursing facility and became aquatinted with Father Andy when he was saying Sunday Mass in their chapel.  Isabelle talked of Fr. Andy often with great concern for his health.  They both passed away in October so I'm sure they are having a grand reunion with him in heaven.

I knew Andy a little at Sorin College at Notre Dame. He was truly a kind and caring person and a great representative of the University he loved. Rest in peace.

I was a fellow Sorin Otter with Andy at Notre Dame.  Andy was a true joy to be around at all times...never down for a moment.  I recall our walks to Monk Hoops with great fondness some 19 years later.  He will be deeply missed as he was such a good man.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Sebesta family and Fr. Andy's Holy Cross family. He faced his illness with such great dignity, and holiness. I feel blessed to have known him.

I was blessed to spend time with Fr. Andy at Sacred Heart Parish Notre Dame.  He was always a joy to be around and I always enjoyed his homilies and my children enjoyed being altar servers for him.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sebesta family.

I miss you cousin, all the good times we had at sporting events, Rockets games, Astros games.  Be at peace...
