

Audrey Rae Elizabeth Holbrook, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2024. Born on October 11, 1937, in Carlisle, PA, to Anna Marie and Marlin Weary, Audrey built a life filled with creativity, love, puppy kisses and beautiful flowers.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ozzie Nickelson, her beloved husband of 39 years, Jerry Holbrook, and her children Terry and Tommy Holbrook. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her large family including her brothers Bill (Mary) Weary, and Robert (Ella Mae) Holbrook, her son, Charles (Amy) McClurkin, daughter Tammy Holloman, and daughters-in-law Lisa Crouch Holbrook and Lisa Holbrook. Grandchildren Kelly (Nick) Granado, Stephanie (Derik) Geddings, Amanda (Erik) Tremaine, Holly and Colby Holloman, Austin (Vicky) Holbrook, Alyssa (Cameron) Holbrook, JT (Melissa) Holbrook, and Ashley (Bobby) Seals. She cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Adrianne and Jonathan Tovar, Sean and Conner Geddings, Ruben, Nicholas and Mary Granado, Leighton and Everett Seals, and Drew Schomber.
Audrey's family was her pride and joy. Her great-grandchildren brought her immense happiness, and her dogs held a paw in her heart. Awarded for her creativity at Sears, Audrey thrived on designing captivating merchandise displays. Beloved by colleagues, she brought the same playful energy she poured into dressing up her dachshunds for weekend dog shows. Tending to her rose garden, especially the vibrant red knockout roses planted by her late husband Jerry, offered a tranquil escape.
A visitation for Audrey will be held on Friday, July 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
A home going celebration will occur on Saturday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
A committal service will occur on Saturday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road in Houston.
