Charlotte is preceded in death by Father Charles Fellows, Mother Norma Busch Fellows and Brother Bill Fellows.
She is survived by her Sons Kevin King and Kraig King. Granddaughters Courtney, Kelly, Caroline and Great Granddaughter Annie Ba.
Charlotte graduated from Algoma High School on June 10th 1952. After marrying in Wisconsin, she moved to Houston, Texas. In 1965, finding herself a newly single mother, Charlotte re-entered the workforce serving as a medical/dental secretary for the offices of Dr. Frank Ernst, Dr. Charles Blum and Dr. Charles Sutherland where she retired after more than 40 years of service.
Charlotte provided a loving, and nurturing home for her two Sons at a time when it was not only unusual but very difficult to be a working single mother…and she did it with amazing grace.
She was warmly regarded as a second mother to all who passed through her door. She was an example to them demonstrating a tireless work ethic, teaching her boys a deep respect and admiration for the military and those who served and (most dear to her heart) passing along her great love of animals; dogs, foundling turtles and the migrant hummingbirds she looked forward to each year.
Those who knew Charlotte knew of her love of animals, providing a home to her own dogs as well as those in obedience training with Kraig. She loved and treated everyone’s dogs as if they were her own.
Charlotte truly adored her Grandchildren. Her visits always included the many children’s books she had collected through the years, passing along her love of reading to them. She delighted in watching them grow and achieve and proudly shared stories to anyone who sat still long enough.
Charlotte will be missed but remembered by all those whose lives she touched and all creatures great and small.
A family celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
