

Cynthia was born on October 7, 1960 in Tulsa Oklahoma to Harry and Gloria Bennett Senior. Cynthia graduated from Memorial High School in 1978. She went to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Phoenix in 2010.
Cynthia accepted Christ as her Savior with St. Augustine Catholic Church as a child. She went on to join Windsor Village Church in Houston, Texas where she was a faithful member and she truly loved the lord. She became heavily into the ministry of Antioch Baptist Church virtually since COVID-19.
Cynthia worked in the Banking industry for 35 years. Cynthia went on to work for Oxy Petroleum in Accounting since 2017 until her passing. She also worked for a Broker in accounting until her passing. She has always been a god fearing, outgoing, social, fun, honest, encouraging, motivating, loving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandson Dwight Oakley III (Trey) aka “Lil Polo Man”. Cynthia was married to Robert Thomas Pennington on September 17, 2004.
Cynthia gained her wings on January 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Harry Bennett Sr. and her husband Robert Thomas Pennington. She leaves to cherish her one and only son, Dwight James Oakley Jr. (ShaDiamond) of Houston, TX ; mother, Gloria Dean Bennett of Tulsa, OK; brother, Harry Bennett Jr. (Jean) of Tulsa, OK; sister, Alethea Bennett of Tulsa, OK; sister, Kathy Bennett of Norman, OK; brother, Lawrence Bennett (Lashonda) of Tulsa, OK; brother, Gregory Bennett (Connie) of Mansfield, TX; brother, Ricky Bennett of Tulsa, OK; Grandson, Dwight James Oakley III (Trey) of Houston, TX; two special nephews Edward Bennett (Cubby) and Ricky Bennett Jr. (Little Ricky); special cousins Rebecca Mccoy, Anthea Harrell and Terri Mays; special friends; Theresa Harris, Vanessa Hawkins, and Roxanne Morrison, a special Daughter-in-Love, Carmen Pennington; special friend Darlene Wiseman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
She will greatly be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21st at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm. A reception with visitation continuing will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home from 10:00 am- Noon, with a funeral service officiated by Elder Isadore Jackson beginning at Noon. Graveside services will follow at Houston Memorial Garden in Houston, Texas.
