GEORGE BANUELOS, 90, of Houston, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 7, 2011. George was born August 14, 1920 in Houston, Texas to Marion Banuelos and Maria de Rosario Ortega-Banuelos. He was preceded in death by his parents; by Mary Lillian Kimble, wife, and Mother of his four children; by brothers, Rueben, Romeo, Herbert and Ernest Banuelos; and sisters, Eva Buss and Olga Perkins. He is survived by his four children, George Edward Banuelos, Linda Carol Vandever and husband Kenneth, Cynthia Ann Ellis and husband Pat, and Pam Banuelos; sister, Gloria B. Martinez; brother, Marion Banuelos; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Fena Bankston and Glendeen Roemer; and his beloved dog, Star. George was devoted to his children, his family, and his many friends. He loved life and spent his retirement years dancing, fishing, cooking and gardening. George was an excellent mechanic who loved to tinker while helping others. Educated in Houston, George worked at Southern Pacific Railroad for over 40 years. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, USA, Lodge 151 in Houston, Texas for 25 years.
