She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Louis Fries. Joan is survived by her son, Mark Fries and his wife Leslie; granddaughter, Brittany Gernand and her husband Ryan; grandson, Corey Fries and his wife Deidre; and great- grandchildren Grayson Gernand, Brynlee Gernand, Briar Fries, Blair Fries and Landon Gernand.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church, 11027 S. Gessner Road, Houston, Texas 77071.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Albert’s Church or a charity of one’s choice.
