

He attended Dos Palos High School in California. His favorite subject was history and art. Jose was extremely artistic and creative.
Jose enjoyed watching funny videos with a loud laugh. He also enjoyed playing board games, cards and dominos. He listened to love songs, Spanish music and especially “oldies but goodies”. Jose would constantly write poems, go biking or do projects out of wood.
He would play with his nephews and nieces and spoil them with goodies here and there. Especially Alex, with Whataburger French Fries.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin Velasco, Angelina Mellin, Norberto Estrada and Cristina Flores. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Estrada Flores; sisters, Cristina Velasco and Maria Hernandez Estrada; and brother, Omar Hernandez Estrada. He leaves behind his nephews, Zach and Alex; his nieces, Kendall, Emily, Kisandra and Priscilla. He also leaves behind many cousins, including Maria Hortencia Estrada and Jose Estrada. He leaves behind many aunts, including Amelia Herrera and many uncles, including Gabriel Estrada, Gregorio Estrada and Juan Estrada.
He will be deeply missed by the Estrada and Velasco family members, including the Velasco side of the family residing in Mexico.
A visitation for Jose will be held on Thursday, May 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, where Pastor Nate is to officiate.
Jose will forever remain in our hearts.
