Jose is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Cindy; his children, Ixchel and Benicio; his parents; sisters, Anamaria and Leticia; and nephews, Joshua and Juliana.
Raised in Houston, TX, Jose graduated in 1997 from Debakey High School for Health Professions, then earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston in 2006. Much of his professional career was spent as an accountant for Deloitte, Neighborhood Centers Inc., and his own company, Tax Tree. Additionally, he was instrumental in the founding of the family home contracting business, Lotus Projects.
Jose loved to travel and explore and had a passion for photography. He was an avid reader of anything relating to science, technology, and curiosities. He was continually learning and loved to share his knowledge with others—engaging in deep and meaningful conversations. Jose was the king of the “Dad Joke”. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, and brother, and was known as everyone’s best friend, a title rightfully earned.
