

Kathleen was born in Long Beach, California to Bonnie and Ernest P. Lujan March 5, 1974. She became a Texan at age twelve and Texas is where her heart will always be. She welcomed her little sister, Cydney Croney Brandt, into the world and was later adopted by her stepfather, Joseph Croney. She was a 1992 graduate of Dulles High School. She passed from this life after complications of kidney failure in Houston on March 16, 2026.
Kathleen was a creative spirit, who loved theater, painting, music and art. She devoted a lot of time serving others, both those in addiction recovery and local charitable organizations. She accepted everyone for who they were and leaves behind an incredible legacy of warmth and humor. Her infectious laughter and spiciness will be missed by an army of family and friends who loved her deeply, including: mother Bonnie Croney, sister Cydney Brandt, best friends Alysia Graham and Jennifer Triplett, Godsons Zachariah and Ethan Graham, Aunts Gail Allen and Diane Watson, cousins Timothy, John, Jason, and Will Brodt, Lisa Carter, Jacqueline Barattiero, and many more.
She was predeceased by her uncle, Richard Colson, her father, Ernie Lujan, and her stepfather, Joseph Croney.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, on Saturday, April 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
A Committal Service will follow at Morton Cemetery, 401 N. 2nd Street, Richmond, Texas 77469 on Saturday, April 11 at 3:30 p.m.
