

Lucy Rodriguez Daigle passed away on September 25, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 60. She was born on March 12, 1956 in Mission, Texas to Erasmo Rodriguez and Maria Lucia Pena. Lucy grew up and graduated from high school in Mission, Texas. She attended Pan Am University where she received a BA in Criminal Justice. Lucy had a 25 year career with the Stafford Police Department, serving her community as a Communications Officer.
Lucy was a selfless person who always exemplified unconditional love. She was a devoted woman of faith. She attended the Freedom Center Church where she developed numerous special relationships with her sisters in Christ. Lucy married her best friend Russ May 3, 2003 on “Marriage Island” in San Antonio, Texas. She treasured her time spent with Russ on their motorcycle trips to Fulshear to see the blooming blue bonnets.
Lucy cherished her two grandchildren. She was the most amazing grandmother and valued every moment spent with them.
Lucy was a tremendous cook and gardener. She spent a lot of time maintaining her garden and had a “Green Thumb”. By far, her rice had to be her best dish. Lucy was truly an angel on earth and loved many. She will be deeply missed by her only daughter with whom she shared a “Mother-Daughter” bond like no other. Lucy is preceded in death by her father, Erasmo Rodriguez. She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Daigle; daughter, Tamara Cano; grandchildren, Michael Xavier and Gloriana Grace; Mother, Maria Lucia Pena; sisters Rose Marie Garza, Norma Irene Castillo, and Rosa de Lima Rodriguez; brothers, David Xavier Rodriguez, Erasmo Rodriguez, Jr., and John Martin Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Earthman Southwest with interment to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
