

Mary, a long-time resident of Stafford, Texas, was born in Maypearl, Texas, on October 1, 1940, to Milton and Roxie Strickland.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, sisters (Nell Strickland, Annette Guidry, Dora Burns and her husband, Lloyd Burns), nephews, David Burns and Jason Strickland, mother-in-law, Lena Falsone, husband, Nickalos Falsone, brothers-in-law, Jim Falsone and Charles Laperouse and sisters-in-law, Mary Laperouse and Pauline Eschenfelder.
She is survived by her brother, Milton Strickland, Jr., brother-in-law and sister-in law, Joe and Bessie Falsone, brother-in-law, Vernon Eschenfelder, daughter, Nina Paine and husband, Matt Paine, daughter, Lisa Jaks and husband, Alan Jaks, son, Anthony Falsone and wife, Tosha Falsone, grandchildren, Alyssa (Paine) Taveras and husband Matthew Taveras, Alexandra Paine, Matthew Paine, Jr., Kyle Jaks, Rhylie Falsone, Ashley Paine, Emily Jaks, Andrew Paine, Nickolas Falsone and Ana Paine, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary graduated from Missouri City High School in 1959 and worked for Lap's Drug Store where she met the love of her life, Nick Falsone. They were married on December 11, 1960, at Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed over 42 years of marriage prior to Nick's death in 2003. Mary worked for FBWCID #2 for 45 years, retiring in June 2020, at the age of 79. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially cooking her mother-in-law's spaghetti and meatballs recipe and baking pies and cookies for everyone to enjoy. Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as "Punkin".
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18 from 4-8pm at Earthman SW Funeral Home with a rosary recital starting at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 19 at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 1510 5th St., Missouri City, Texas 77489 with interment following at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas.
