Myra A. Thompson

Myra Agatha Thompson, age 86, passed away at her home in Stafford, Texas on July 26th, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Clara Browne, twin sister Mildred, brothers Vernon, Arnott and Ivan, uncle Charles, aunt Lorna, cousin Millicent and husband Eric. She is survived in life by her brother Samuel ‘Bertie’ Browne, children Jean Ann Murrell (Barbados), Judy Foster (Stafford, Tx), Jacqueline Thompson (Long Island, NY) Dr. Junior Sylvester Thompson (Houston, Tx), grand children Holly Murrell, Hayden Murrell and Brittany Thompson (all of Houston, Tx), nephew Ricardo Browne (Barbados) and many other nieces and nephews, cousin Edmore Martindale, sister-in-law Joyce Browne , sons-in-law Hilford Murrell and Dennis Foster, daughter-in-law Cheryl Thompson and the families of the Brownes, Farrels and Kings. Myra was the retired supervisor of the Golden Rock Day Nursery now the Ma Worrell Day Care Center in Pinelands St. Michael Barbados. She was a member of the St. Barnabas Mother’s union, the St. Barnabas Credit Union and the Barbados Association of Greater Houston. The memorial service will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church 605 Dulles Ave Stafford Texas 77477 on Saturday August 4th at 10:00 am. The service will be officiated by The Rev. Stephen Whaley, Rector. The remains will be taken to her island home, Barbados, for final interment at the St. Barnabas Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, Myra has requested that donations be made to the All Saints Emily’s pantry. Please make checks to All Saints Episcopal Church.
