Peter Scoppa

Silvio Peter Scoppa, 86, went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2013. A loving husband, devoted father, and dependable friend, he will be missed by all. Peter was born on August 27, 1927 in Port Chester, NY and grew up in Newton, MA. He left home at a young age to proudly serve our country in the U.S. Navy. In 1968, Peter married his soul mate and best friend, Jane Bamberger. They enjoyed 45 wonderful years together. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Allison Jane, Peter is survived by his wife Jane, Kathy Bulmer (daughter), Ron Scoppa (son), Laurie Brim (daughter), and Pete Scoppa (son). Peter enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and 3 great grand children. A memorial service celebrating Peter’s life will be at Sugar Creek Baptist Chapel (13213 S.W. Freeway) on Thursday, November 21st, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Texas Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice. In Peter’s own words, “memories are our greatest treasures”. Peter’s family and friends will cherish their memories of time spent with him. We know that his voyage in eternity will have a fair wind and a following sea.
