Rickey Lynn Link of Sugar Land, TX passed away on November 28, 2023 at the age of 70. He was born in Brazoria, TX to Agnes (Maurer) and Nolan F. Link on July 29, 1953. After graduating from Brazosport High School in 1971, Rick went on to receive a Bachelors in Business Administration in Management from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. He worked in the RV industry for 36 years, retiring as a regional manager from Airxcel Inc. in 2019.
We are heartbroken by Rick’s sudden passing. He was a joy to be around and his family and friends will remember him as a man of faith and a solid foundation for his kids and grandkids. He was always kind, respectful, and a huge blessing to those who met him. Rick’s love for his wife, and his family were always on display. He was loving, caring, supportive and fun. Rick instilled an importance of education and a strong work ethic amongst all his kids. He showed up for every life event he could, often flying across the country to be present and celebrate his family. He had an infectious laugh and seemed to always intuit when we needed to hear his voice or see his face. He was the best at hour long catch-up phone calls. He never met a stranger and he was always lending a helping hand to anyone and everyone in need. Rick will be remembered for his love for his wife, kids, grandkids, friends and neighbors, his easy going personality, his love for sweets, and his willingness to always be present in our lives and cook a good meal for us. Rick was a great man, who made this world a better place and will be truly missed.
Rick is survived by his loving wife Diana LeBlanc Link, as well as brother, Nolan F. Link Jr.; children Steven (Rebecca) Horton; Kristin (Jeremy) McLeod; Shelby (Ross) Andrews; Jennifer (Harold) Vogt; and Joshua (Mary) LeBlanc; grandchildren Ann and Tyler Horton, Carter Andrews, Meredith, Christopher and William Vogt, Haley and Hannah LeBlanc; two nephews, Randy (Laura) Link and Jeff (Amy) Link, and two great-nephews Austin and Ryan Link and many close friends that became part of his family.
