Rodolfo Vasquez “Rudy”, a man of strong faith, a cowboy at heart, went to be with God after fighting Parkinson’s disease for 16 years. He was born in Kingsville, Texas, and married his high school sweetheart Elva Acuna Vasquez. Their greatest gift was their daughter Priscilla Coronado, her husband Ricardo Coronado and blessed by two grandchildren, Christopher and Tristan Coronado.
Rudy graduated from King High School and attended the University of Houston. While in high school he participated in the Varsity High School Track Team. He enjoyed working on his classic cars, collecting antique cowboy memorabilia and carving hiking sticks for his nieces and nephews that he loved so much. Above all his experiences, most importantly was spending time with his two grand sons who were his pride and joy.
Rudy was one of four children born to Federico and Dominga Vasquez. He is survived by his older brother Federico Vasquez, sister Virginia De La Paz, and proceeded in death by his brother Eli Vasquez. Rudy was loved by numerous friends, nieces and nephews.
We celebrate his life, as he is now at home with Jesus at last.
