Bonnie L. Konopka died November 17, 2020 at the age of 69. Born September 29, 1951 in
Mount Pleasant, Michigan, to the late Adelbert and Gladys (Ley) Pung. She was a
member of Mount Ararat Church. Bonnie started her career at Michigan State University
where she worked for approximately 15 years. After moving to Virginia Bonnie worked for
the Drug Enforcement Administration and retired after 18 years.
She is survived by husband Joseph Konopka; two daughters, Heidi (Buddy) Jones and Brandy Cole both of Stafford; three grandchildren, Demetrius Cole of Washington, NC, Kayle Cole, and Zac Tucker both of Stafford; two step grandchildren, Abby Jones of Stafford and Megan Jones of Bowling Green; step mother, Carol Pung of St. Johns, MI; siblings, Roger (Darlene) Cassady of Marshal, MI, Glenda McKee of Owosso, MI, Julie (Michael) Heuer, Sue (Dennis) Parker of St. Johns, MI, Cindy (Richard) Schrader of Dewitt, MI, Sandra (Kurt) Brandt of Kings Mountain, NC, and Michael Cassady of Ray, ND; two step children, Krystal Konopka of Bridgewater and Karl Konopka of Crimora; three step grandchildren, Krystyne, Kaylene and Ryan all of Bridgewater; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Glendon Cassady.
