Brenda was born and raised in Arlington, VA where she attended Wakefield High School, met and married the love of her life, Robert.
After retiring from a successful career with Arlington County, Brenda could be found doting on her family, playing in her pool or relaxing at their campsite. Brenda was everyone’s mom, sister and friend. Her heart had no limits.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sterba and Yvonne Lawter; brother, Christopher; and granddaughter, Savannah.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert; daughter, Michele (Tim); granddaughter, Brittnee (Nick); great granddaughter, McKenna; brothers, Joseph (Leslie) and Timothy; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in Lieu of flowers, donations be made to the dementia society in her honor.
