He is survived by his wife Kathryn, daughter Tiia Kokal and husband Kevin of Moseley, VA, son Thomas of Hempstead, NY, son Jon from Stafford; three grandchildren -- Victoria Kokal and Taylor Kokal of Richmond and son Garrett Kokal of Houston, TX, sister-in-law Carolyn Meyer of Stafford, niece Janeen Dupuis of Midlothian, VA, nephew Robert Meyer of Andover, NJ, beloved sister Priscilla Skillin and brother Gregory of Malverne, NY, brother Michael of Hempstead, NY, brother John of Peekskill, NY, beloved nieces Linette Turrell of Hempstead, NY, Desiree Dosher and husband David of Long Island, NY and their daughters Samantha and Jessica, niece Kathy Mancini and children Cassandra and Christopher, niece Sandra Skillin and her daughter Megan and nephew Louis Skillin and son Scott of Maine.

Mr. Turrell retired from Lockheed Martin Missile and Space in 1998 and enjoyed his retirement with his loved family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 15, 2017 in Richmond, VA. Details to be sent via e-mail and Facebook.
