She retired after 30 years of working in Arlington County Public Schools.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Sharon Gallardo, and by her brother, Brett Ferguson.
Holly is survived by those who knew her as ”Mom”, "Grandma”, “Mum-Mum”, and “Fergie”, to include her husband, Eric Ayala; son, Alan A. Rodriguez (Jocelyn); daughters, Amanda R. Escobar (Anibal “Tony"), Clara E. Cox (Robert); sister, Heidi Phipps; grandchildren, Nathan Escobar, Khloe Escobar, Marcus Cox, Mariah Cox, Malik Cox, and Leilani Rodriguez. She loved them all to the moon and back.
A viewing for Holly will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554. An interment will occur Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22402.
