He was born on April 20, 1939 in Spotsylvania, VA the son of the late Gerald and Vera (Spindle) Schooler. He was a member of the Canaan Faith Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army. Jim Bo was also a member of the Margo Hunt Club.
He was preceded in death by his three siblings, Miller Schooler, Charlie Schooler and Sissy White.
Survivors include his loving wife, Peggy Dobson Schooler; one brother, Gerald T. Schooler; three sisters, Linda Mae Hall, Dorothy Ann Sims, and Joyce Barnett; several nieces and nephews.
