

Jim was born on May 23, 1950 in West Virginia to the late Earnest James Strawser and Marie (Dolan) Strawser.
He retired after many years of dedicated service as a Building Maintenance Engineer for Embassy Dairy and Marriott Hotels. Throughout his career, he took great pride in his work and was respected for his skill.
Jim had a passion for the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing, as well as in the garage restoring classic cars. He found joy working with his hands and sharing those moments with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie Marie Strawser, and his parents.
He is survived by his two sons, James "Jimmy" Andrew Strawser and wife Lena Kathryn, and Richard "Ricky" Ernest Strawser; his grandson, Justin Andrew Strawser and wife Alicia "Ali" Lynne and their daughter Leah Ashley; his granddaughter, Miranda Strawser Cuccias and husband Mitchell Andrew and their daughter, Lily Clare with their second child expected soon; his sisters Sue Sampson and Ruth Graham; and his companion, Charlotte Hilton; along with extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Jim will be remembered lovingly and his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his name and memory.
The family will receive loved ones from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford, VA where a funeral service will be held at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
