Grandad there isn't a day that goes by that you are not missed. We are all so thankful & blessed for the great memories we are left with and we continue to share with our loved ones. 
Even little "Johnny BOY" (Jonathan) tells his friends about how you use to scare him and play with him. I remember how little Jonathan use to whisper in my ear to tell me to make grandpa do it again!!! LOL.
Grandad I love how you spoiled every one of us grandad kids in your own special way.  Always made sure we wanted for nothing. And the love you shared with us; will be never ending!!!

How the times passes so quickly and yet the same sadness remains in my heart since the day that you left us. I know you are in a wonderful place now, but can't help to wish that god would have allowed us more time with you. I think of you every day,as I am filled with so many emotions. Happiness of all the thoughts and memories you left with me. Sadness of wanting to hear your laugh. You were truly a great man, father , husband and most of all Grandfather to many. All of my visits with you were truly cherished. I watched you as a father and grandfather, and never once did you ever make a difference in any child or grandchild. It takes a special gift to be able to love so many with equal amounts of love. Jim Tate you are a great man, full of love, happiness, joy, honesty,laughter and kindness. You were & still are the best papa in the world. You’re the only papa I ever had & you’re the only one I’ll ever need. You & grandma made my childhood years so amazing. I’m so blessed to have both of you. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about you. All the good times we had & all our memories are the only thing that keeps me going. You’re the definition of a true man. Nobody could ever come close to replacing you. I couldn’t imagine what my life would have been without you. I love you so much papa. I miss you more than anything in this world! I’d do anything to just stay up till 2am watching Degrassi with you & eating cheeseburgers. You and grandma are a huge impact on so many lives. You’re so loved and missed. Rest in paradise papa.

I know you're shaking your head at me for using the internet to tell you how much I miss you. I think about you everyday even at the most busy times. But I know you're always there with me. You can sense things like that. Its very comforting. I'm so glad you're in heaven and not sick anymore. Growing up with you and grandma was the greatest. I was and am so blessed. The person I am today is partially because of you. I miss playing scare and Go get my watch, I'd give anything to play it right now, even though I'm not a child anymore. You were such a good man and spoiled grandma and us kids like crazy. I'd ask for a couple bucks to go to the store with grandma and you'd say "Go get my wallet" and hand me a $20. I'm glad you were my Papa. Couldn't have asked for a better one. So many memories, I'm thankful to have. I know you're busy taking train rides and playing with Duke. I miss you so much and love you more then anything.Thank you for everything Papa.

To say you were a great man is an understatement.  You and Grandma Mary invited me into your home and treated me like family.  I will miss sharing stories about Metro with you and seeing your elaborate rail yard pictures that were way too complex for me to ever figure out. I was saddened to learn of the passing of Brother James Tate, Sr., HLM.  On behalf of Pope John Paul II Council 4522 of the Knights of Columbus in Annandale, may I extend deepest sympathy.  Our prayers go out for Brother James and family.

You were really the only grandfather I knew. I'll never forget all the visits with you in california and in virginia. Growing up with you as a grandfather gave me some of the best memories. And I loved exploring different places with you and grandma. You were the truest definition of a man and I am so proud and honored to have had you as a grandpa. I miss you and love you.
