Jeannette Eden Demos, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022. Formerly of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Jeannette resided in Woodbridge, Virginia for the past several years. Jeannette was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
She loved the Lord, Bible Study, all animals (especially cats), and sweets, particularly milk chocolate, ice cream, and mince pie! Jeannette was devoted to her children and always greeted them after school with a delicious snack and conversation when they were younger. She was a valued sounding board who provided love and common sense in her advice to them. She had a kind and loving heart and was always there for anyone in need, including the various strays, wildlife, and exotic pets her children would bring home. One of Jeannette’s lifelong passions was collecting antiques, and together with her children, they shared time bonding (and a lot of money!) in this common interest. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Home Instead who were attentive and loving to her over the last several years.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Alice Evelyn Horning; her beloved son, Brian Demos; and her former husband and lifelong friend, George Demos.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Zicarelli (Thomas) of Triangle, Virginia and Christina Kull (George) of Ottsville, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Laura Zicarelli (Brian) of Chesterfield, Virginia; step-grandchildren, Lindsey Bahleda (Steve) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Matt Kull (Geise) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and their respective children; and special cousin, Jackie Ruth of Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 13 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Stafford, Virginia at 2:30 PM. Interment will follow at a later date in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
