

He was born on October 2, 1944 in Rice, Virginia to Charlie Noel and Mary Elizabeth Moore Yeatts. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Manila, John was an ordained minister and he truly loved the Lord. He was also an avid outdoorsman and found joy in fishing and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of thirty-three years, Phyllis Yeatts.
John is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Glenda Yeatts of the home; four children, Pam Garrison (Danny) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Patricia Rivera (Brian) of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Sharon Hrabal (Mackey) of Waldo, Florida and Susan Mills (Robert) of Woodford, Virginia; four step-children, Crystal Harston (Bobby) of Wilson, Arkansas, Raymond Henard (Tammy) of Dyess, Arkansas, Douglas Henard (Trina) of Piggott, Arkansas and Teresa Tipton (David) of Dermott, Arkansas; one brother, Bobby Yeatts of Palm Springs, Florida; three sisters, Barbara Case of Farmville, Virginia, Edith Scruggs and Emily Yeatts both of Appomattox, Virginia; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-one great grandchildren.
Family was important to John and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for John will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
