Born in Quantico, Bogie worked for the Library of Congress Copyright Office for 34 years.
In addition to being a devoted husband and father, he had a passion for riding his motorcycle through the Virginia countryside. He also took great joy in making others smile, either with a joke or a kind word.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sally; son Chris and his wife, Bonnie; daughters Heidi and Megan; and grandson Jackson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, with the funeral beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
