Mrs. Carrington retired from Stafford County Schools after 37 years as a school bus driver. She loved her family and friends. She was a collector of roosters and chickens and was known to family and friends as “The Chicken Lady”.
She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Carrington and a son, Jeffrey Roles she is survived by two sons, Lindy T. Roles Jr. and Ricky D. Roles of Mountain Top, PA. Two daughters, Carol Jackson of Stafford, Mae Adrian of Ansted, WVA., two brothers Carroll Shackelford of Stafford and Carlton Shackelford of Baltimore, MD. as well as 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 1 with a short service at 7 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
