She was born on November 1, 1947 in Montgomery, AL the daughter of the late Harrison and Nora (Bowes) Burnie.
Survivors include her loving husband, Gary R. McNutt of Stafford, VA; one daughter, Elizabeth M. Marchand (Daniel) of Nashua, NH; one son; James G. McNutt of Charlottesville, VA; one sister, Patricia S. Boatwright of Booneton Township, NJ; three grandchildren, Rylee Marchand, Avery Marchand, and Catherine McNutt.
She graduated from high school in France where her father was stationed in the Air Force. She then attended Auburn University, Purdue University, and graduated from the University of West Florida. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Colonial Dames, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Rosemary had a lifelong love of her dogs which she cherished.
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
