Scott Fillis

He lived his early years in Triangle, Virginia and later in Richlands, Virginia, where he graduated from Richlands High School. After attending a year at Bluefield College he returned north and worked various construction and moving jobs before settling in Stafford, Virginia where he met his wife of 25 years, working part-time at Pizza Hut. Scott has been a dedicated member of the Hilldrup Moving and Storage team for the last 27 years, giving selflessly to assure customers’ ultimate satisfaction.

Scott enjoyed relaxing with a fishing pole in his hand. When he wasn’t enjoying quiet time he loved attending sports events with his family, especially his son’s little league baseball games, where he loved sharing his expertise. Scott spent a lot of time at amusement parks with his family and has traveled many miles, riding roller coasters with his roller coaster-loving son.

Preceding Scott in death were his parents, Raymond and Paula Fillis, and sister Gabriele Woody Riffe.

He leaves his wife Cathy, and son Ryan. Additionally, brother John Fillis (and Jill), brother Pete Fillis, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Scott will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
