Born on May 22, 1973, to parents Harold and Cheryl (neé Delcour) Quinley in St. Louis, Missouri, Tim served eight years in the U.S. Navy, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University, and had a distinguished career as a Corporate Security Officer for Computer Systems Center, Inc. Tim also proudly served as a member of the Stafford Masonic Lodge 279 and on the Spiritual Life Team for Living Hope Lutheran Church.
Tim will be long remembered for his extremely affable personality, his all-encompassing sense of humor, and his kindness to all who were blessed to know him. His quick wit and contagious laugh could bring light and levity to any situation. His love of music filled every space he occupied with his eclectic playlists and was his go-to conversation starter with friends and strangers alike. His tolerance for spicy foods was the stuff of legends and he could always be found with a cup of coffee and jokes and stories to tell. To know him was to know his absolute devotion to his family, for whom he provided with every care and attention humanly possible and also provided the drive and motivation for everything he did in life. His untimely passing creates a massive void as a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend where his beautiful spirit, unique life outlook, and unmatched joie de vivre used to be.
Tim is survived by his wife, Erica (neé Simmons); his two children, Mackenzie and William (Liam); mother, Cheryl; sister, Angela Willis; brother-in-law, Eric Willis; nieces Sydney and Ashlyn; nephew, Owen; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a plethora of people he held dear as friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold, with whom he is no doubt sharing coffee and dad jokes in heaven.
Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, located at 186 Shelton Shop Rd., Stafford, VA 22554, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, beginning at 11:30 am. Inurnment at Quantico National Cemetery will immediately follow. A Celebration of Life is intended at a later date.
The family kindly asks, in lieu of flowers, for donations to a college fund organized for Tim’s children or the American Heart Association.
