A proud graduate of the class of 1967. Bill served in the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1968 to 1975. After his military service, he became a talented and dependable electrician always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Bill had a warm, generous spirit, a sharp sense of humor, and stories that could light up a room. Most of all, he found joy in spending time with the people he loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Roslyn; his sons, William and Keith; his daughters-in-law, Josie and Lisa; and his beloved grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Ethan, and Brennen.
Sean: “I’ll always remember Grandpa when he went on drives with me while I had my permit, our first beer together, and him always bringing me home when I spent the night with them. Playing baseball in the backyard, mowing the yard with him—it just felt like yesterday we drank together. I will miss him dearly.
Ryan: “He is the best grandpa I could ever ask for. I loved all of the stories that he told, and I’m so happy he was able to see my first marathon. I will always remember you and you will be missed a lot.”
Brennen: “he was very helpful with anything you needed his help with and he had good stories to share and the love he had towards his family. I loved spending time with grandpa. I'll miss him a lot.”
Ethan: “Grandpa was a great person. He was very nice and funny and a good person to hang out with. Grandpa will always be in my heart. Bye Grandpa, love Ethan.”
Bill’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on through the family he adored and who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A visitation for Bill will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel.
His celebration of life will begin at 12:30pm with his burial to follow at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, Virginia 22172.
