Ann J Dexter

ANN J. DEXTER (JANIK), 82, died at Stamford Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Suchany, Czechoslovakia, Ann immigrated to the U.S. with her late parents, John & Mary Janik, along with her late brother, John Janik, when she was 2. She graduated top honors in her class at Stamford High. Ann worked as an Executive Secretary for 42 years and was adored by all her bosses and coworkers. Besides being pre-deceased by her parents and brother, Ann was also predeceased by her husband, Buddy Dexter (NJ) and her son, Michael Dexter.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Sheila O’Grady, along with her grandchildren, Kelly O’Grady, Shane O’Grady, Ryan O’Grady and Michele Dexter Drummond and her great-grandchildren, Kayla O’Grady, Tyler O’Grady, Jayce O’Grady, Michael Drummond and Mason Drummond. Her smile, kind heart, and generous nature will be missed by all.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church, Cove Rd., Stamford on Wednesday, December, 19, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT. Friends and family may call at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, Summer Street, Stamford, CT on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 5:00-8:00.
