Anna Sackman

Native and lifelong resident of Stamford, Anna Sackman passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday amongst good friends and family. She was a charter member of Edgehill Senior Community, where she lived for the past 15 years. She was predeceased by parents Freida and Jacob Hoffman, husband Harry Sackman, with whom she enjoyed a marriage of over 60 years, daughter Marilyn Sackman, and sister Mary Livingston.

She is survived by her children Patty Samuels (Jim) of Westport, CT and Ira Sackman MD (Joanne) of Harrisburg, PA., grandchildren Jonathan Samuels MD (Svetlana MD), Francine Samuels MD, Susan Samuels MD of Manhattan, Paula Capasso (Marco) of Shrewsbury, MA, and Brenna Sackman of Silver Springs, MD, great-grandchildren Leon Samuels and Samuel Samuels.

Anna was a wonderful homemaker and her family was her passion. She was an avid reader, champion scrabble player, and trusted confidante to many.

Services will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2015 at 2 PM Congregation Agudath Shalom,301 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
