Benoit O. Delmotte

Benoit (Ben) Delmotte, 45, of Stamford , CT passed away suddenly after a brief illness with his wife at his side on July 14, 2012 . Benoit was born on April 2, 1967 in Tournai , Belgium . He attended school and served in the military in France . Benoit came to the United States in 1998 and has lived in Stamford since 2001. He will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife Holly Hunt. Benoit is survived by his parents, Etienne and Jacqueline Delmotte of Mortagne-du-Nord , France. After moving to Stamford , he began his career in the printing industry and was most recently employed at Minuteman Press of Stamford. Benoit had a passion for cooking, gardening, travel, and spending time with many close friends in the Stamford area. He loved organizing group get-togethers at local restaurants and pubs and engaging in spirited debate on many topics. Benoit loved animals, especially his cat Sweetpea.He also enjoyed watching the Yankees, Le Tour de France, and FIFA World Cup, particularly when France was playing.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 4-8 p.m at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT. A Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday July 20, 2012 at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home.
