She was born on April 25, 1914 in New York City but spent 71 of her 97 years living in Stamford. She was predeceased by Arthur Stern in 1964 and Arthur Post in 1987. She is survived by daughters Linda Danaceau and Donna Fuhrman, step-daughter Ellen Camhi, sons-in-law Howard Danaceau and Edward Fuhrman as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and extended family.
She was widely known, loved and admired by all fortunate to have known her and her always present smile and friendly conversation were a joy. In her earlier years in Stamford, extending into the 1960’s, she and her beloved husband, Arthur, owned and operated 2 women’s clothing stores in Stamford and Darien. The Stamford site on Bedford Street, known as Donna Henry, was frequented by several generations of women who appreciated the excellent quality, fashion taste and service provided there. After it closed, Beulah continued to work in the field for some years.
She was an active volunteer, contributing her time and enthusiasm serving at the Stamford Hospital and Jewish Community Center among other organizations. The JCC recognized her with a “Woman of the Year” award in appreciation.
