Bruce Roberts Martin, 76, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Fairview of Fairfield Nursing Home, Southport, CT. He was born in Stamford, CT to the late Thelma V. Martin and Nathan E. Martin. He is survived by his sister, Gladys M. Cohen and brother-in-law Morton Cohen of Stamford, and a brother Arthur Martin of Norwalk. He Is also survived by niece Barbara Aronica-Buck and her husband Peter Buck of Stamford, and nephew Robert Cohen and his wife Cathy, of Sudbury MA, as well as his four great-nieces and nephews, Molly, David, Caitlyn and Nathan. Bruce was served by ARI of CT for most of his life. He lived independently for several years and then with friends at ARI group homes. He worked in various jobs around Stamford and participated in many recreational and social activities. He was best known for playing bocce and his love of Italian language and food. A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 23rd at 2:00 pm at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. The burial at Temple Beth El cemetery and Shiva will be private.
