He was born to Helen and Charles Vincent Austin Sr. in Brooklyn, New York on July 24, 1931. His wife Eileen and sons Charles and Matthew predecease him. Charles is survived by his sister Mary Jane Weir, his children daughter Rose Austin, her husband James Bullock, daughter Eileen Perrone and her husband David Perrone. He was a loving grandfather to Austin and Owen Bullock and to Olivia Perrone and Emily Perrone.
Charles served in the Air Force during the Korean War and went on to receive a degree in economics from Saint Francis College; he pursued his education at Tulane, Cornell and Harvard. He enjoyed a successful career in the banking and the leasing industry in New York and Europe.
During his retirement he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 01, 2023 at Church of the Holy Spirit located at 403 Scofieldtown Rd. Stamford, CT 06903 at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery located at 124 Rock Rimmon Rd. Stamford, CT 06903.
