Charles Goodwin Jr.

He was baptized at an early age and was a member of St. Stephens Baptist Church until he relocated to Stamford, CT. Where he then joined Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Samuel White and later Rev. Tommie Jackson and Served on the Senior Choir. He was employed at Stamford hospital until retirement.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Jessie Ferguson Goodwin Sr., his beloved wife of 60 years Bertha Mae Goodwin, brother Eugene Goodwin and sister Caroline Goodwin.

He leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories, a daughter Jennifer McLellan (Jeremiah Jr.) of Stamford; a son Charles Goodwin III (Robin) of Bridgeport and three grandchildren Bryan, Naja and Kyra Goodwin.

Four brothers, Thomas Goodwin of Spring Valley, NY; Samuel Goodwin (Dorothy) of Monroe, NC; Robert Goodwin (Mary); Freddie Goodwin (Jean) of Rembert, SC; Two sisters, Hattie Johnson of Rembert. SC and Annie Sanders (James) of Parkton, NC and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitations will be on Friday April 5, 2024, 11am -12pm with a celebration of life service at 12pm at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St, Stamford CT.
