

Daryl Irene Lee, age 47, passed away on Saturday December 31, 2011 at Greenwich Hospital with her mother by her side. Born April 14, 1964 Daryl was a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT and a member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation of Southampton, New York.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her mother Barbara M. Lee; step-dad James W. Davis, sisters Brenda M. Lee and Valerie D. Lee; aunts Florence C. Etheridge; Thelma Lee and Ruth Lee; uncle Elton E. Etheridge; numerous cousins, family, friends and several godchildren. She was the grand-daughter of Ferdinand & Esther Beaman Lee of Southampton, NY.
Daryl attended Stamford Public Schools graduating from Westhill High School. She received her Associates Degree in Economics from Norwalk Community College and her Bachelors in Socio-Cultural Anthropology with a concentration in Comparative Ethnic Studies from Columbia University. Daryl also attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and HB Studio in New York. She was a member of SAG and AFTRA, appearing in several commercials, films and on stage. She loved to travel, was an avid reader, excellent writer and loved to engage others in lively conversation. She will always be remembered for her brilliant smile; giving heart and ability to inspire others to follow their dreams.
A Memorial Service for Daryl will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 am at Greater Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church, 27 Baxter Avenue, Stamford, CT. Family will accept visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Greater Faith. Private burial will take place in Southampton, NY at a later date.

The family would like to thank Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center, Dr. Barry Boyd of the Greenwich Hospital Bendheim Cancer Center, the nursing staff at both Stamford & Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Scott Simon, Dr. Dennis Cooper of Smilow Cancer Hospital, and Dr. Antonio Katsigiannis and his staff for their compassionate care.
The family has entrusted arrangement to the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT.
