Within a few years he returned to General Electric Corporate Headquarters in New York City and the family settled in Stamford, Ct. At GE, Jim was especially proud of his accomplishments in the minority recruiting and engineering program, particularly, the ground breaking “EXPO TECH” mobile exhibit.
After moving with GE to their headquarters in Fairfield, CT, Jim served for many years as a board member of The Kennedy Center, including a term as chairman. He was a member of the Connecticut team of The President’s Committee on Mental Retardation and remained committed to bettering the lives of the disabled.
