Edward P. Muha, Sr., age 88, of Stamford CT, beloved son of the late Anna Kutalek Muha and Edward J. Muha, polka danced through Heaven's gate on March 20, 2015. Born in Stamford and a life-long resident, Ed was a WWII veteran, and owner of Parkway Citgo and Belltown Service Stations until his retirement in 1997. Whomever he came in contact with knew that they were in the presence of an honest, attentive, and caring man who enjoyed many good times. He was well known for his holiday partdigies, especially his annual Christmas Eve party, "my way of giving back" he would always say. Never would he pass up a chance to attend a Saturday night polka party, dinner with friends, a weekend in Cape Cod, or an afternoon with his family. Ed is predeceased by his wife, Georgianna Conklin Muha, his beloved daughter, Patricia Ann DeMar, and brothers, Albert Muha and Richard Slink. He will be dearly missed by those who love and cherish him, his family; Cynthia Muha, Donna Esposito and husband Frank, GJ Muha Furphy and husband George, Son in Law, Michael DeMar, and son, Ned Muha. Grand children; David Vilics, Shawn and Ellen Demar, Edward Muha III, Sharon and Tim Ward, James and Lakshmi Vilics, Frank Esposito Jr., John Muha, Alicia Esposito and Jessie Furphy, and his great grand children, James and Michael Vilics and Madison DeMar.
A service of celebration will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford CT on Tuesday March 24th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, it was Ed's wish that contributions be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517. Topeka, KS 66675, to aid and honor our troops.
