Emanuel B Johnson, affectionately known as Buddy passed away on June 9, 2015 at Stamford Hospital. Stamford was his home for over 45 years. He was 80 years old, son of Burdell and Carrie Johnson, and grew up in Delray Beach, FL. Buddy leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Cortney Johnson Stanley, son-in-law Gareth Stanley, two grand children, one sister Lucy Dobson, two nephews Gregory and Barry Dobson, one niece Traci Dobson MacArthur, two great nieces and one great nephew. Buddy was employed at Bolliger International Movers and after several years of employment he retired in 2012.
He was an avid golfer and learned to play the sport at the young age of 10. In his spare time you could find Buddy teeing off at one of the many Southern Connecticut golf courses. He played in many tournaments and won many trophies and awards.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 19, 2015 between 5pm and 8pm at Leo P Gallagher and Sons Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. There will be a commemoration at 7pm. To leave an online condolence please visit www.leopgallagherstamford.com
