

Eugene Alexander Taylor entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Stamford, Connecticut. Eugene was born on October 1, 1955 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Maurice Taylor, Jr. and the late Elizabeth Waverly Taylor.
Eugene was educated in the Stamford Public School System and graduated from Rippowam High School in 1973.
He became an entrepreneur after leaving high school where he started his own business, Taylor Cleaning Services; which later expanded to Taylor Painting and Cleaning Services. After growing up in Southfield Village, he returned to Southfield (now Southwood Square) not only as a businessman and vendor, but he also offered many employment opportunities to the residents.
Eugene was a man of many talents. They included being a lead singer in a local band and studying martial arts. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed skiing and his most recent passion, ice skating.
In addition to his father, Eugene is survived by his dearest daughter, Akemia N. Cannon of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Maurice (Naomi) Taylor of Stamford, CT; two sisters, Patricia (Robert) Wright of Stratford, CT and Tammy Tori (Gregory) Richardson of Stamford, CT; one grandson, Tyquan Marcell Cannon of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Pete Taylor of Stamford, CT; special friends, Amy Ruthledge Jebrine and Oliva Maria Jebrine; several nieces and nephews, close relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by one sister, Idre Dyan Pohle.
Eugene will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
