
INA ROSENFELD HELLER, 82, beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, of Stamford, CT, formerly of Teaneck, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10th at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. Ina grew up in Patterson, NJ, the daughter of Samuel and Gertrude Rosenfeld. She attended University of Miami, FL where she met Harold. They were married in November 1948 and together for 62 years. Ina was a homemaker and then a sales associate at Lord & Taylor in Ridgewood, NJ for 30 years. She is survived by her husband Harold of Stamford; her son, Ken Heller of Meriden, CT; Her daughter and son in law Ronni and Paul Ginsberg of Stamford; and her 2 grandchildren, the shining stars of her life, Steven Ginsberg of Brooklyn, NY and Ilana Ginsberg of Tel Aviv, Israel. She is also survived by a brother, Marc Rosenfeld of Jamaica Plain, MA, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Mervyn Rosenfeld. Ina was an avid reader, scrabble player, and lover of the NY theater and classic, old movies. She enjoyed art museums and many cultural events to stimulate her mind. A service will be held in her memory at 10 AM on Sunday, March 13th, 2011 at Gallagher’s Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. Burial will follow in New Jersey at Beth El Cemetery of Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CT, American Cancer Society, or the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence of Stamford.
