

Gail was a wonderful, caring, thoughtful person loved and adored by all who knew her.
Early in her career, she worked for Roy Disney. She then went on to work for Outward Bound and Carol Lee Jewelry. A former professional dancer and choreographer, she started Roxbury Dance Academy in 1998. For ten years, she taught hundreds of local students ranging from toddlers to adults. A devoted teacher, she designed and arranged annual recitals that brought together the community in a way that was spell binding. Her productions were legendary. She instructed dance for Gene and Karen Wilder who became her very close friends.
Gail had a love and compassion for all animals. She routinely would befriend all the animals in her neighborhood. Giving them all special attention and treats.
Through it all, nothing was more important to Gail as her family and friends. She is survived by the love of her life Joseph Zaffino, her sister in law Suzanne Smith-Rubino and husband Anthony, Gail and Richard Hofmann, John and Maureen Grosso, Christopher and Valerie Grosso, Brian and Lisa Smith and Marissa Smith as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and Neighbors.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Maureen Smith, and her two brothers Brian and Gerry.
Arrangements will be private. In her honor, in lieu of donations play a song and feed an animal.
