

She was born Sept. 24, 1906, in St-Elie-de-Caston, Québec, Canada. She was a daughter of the late Victor Philibert and Liza Poudrier.
She was educated in Shawinigan at St-Pierre’s Covent. She moved to the United States in her early twenties and has worked in many states from California to Florida, to Massachusetts and Connecticut.
She was employed for 27 years with Pitney Bowes, from where she retired in 1971.

She has volunteered at St John’s Parish’s Thrift Shop.
A devout catholic, she was a parishioner of St John’s, St Maurice and St Bridget’s of Ireland churches while living in Stamford.
She is survived by 3 nephews, many cousins including Rose Gélinas-Thomas her best friend and lot of friends.
She was predeceased by a sister Claire, brothers, Ephrem, employed at Stamford Hospital, and Emile, from Quebec, and Gérard, who had worked 23 years at Pitney Bowes, in Stamford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St-Bridget-of-Ireland church in Stamford on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM. A visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10 AM at St. Bridget’s, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave, Stamford.
