It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our wife and sister, Margaret Ann, who left us on May 11th, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. She would’ve been 73 years young on her next birthday, July 14th.
She was an incredibly wonderful woman who was always there when we needed her the most, offering direction, wisdom, support, and love in abundance. Full of love, laughter, giving of herself, and quiet resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her.
She graduated from Saint Agnes Seminary in Brooklyn, NY, received her BA from Hunter College in NYC with a degree in journalism and the literary arts, and more recently earned a master's degree in media from Gonzaga University in Washington State. In addition to her flair for decorating, she successfully worked as a radio anchor, banking consultant, overall media consultant, and executive assistant to one of the leading advertising firms on Madison Avenue in New York City.
She leaves behind her husband, Bill, her brother, Robert, her nephew, Stephen, and his wife, Kerri, and their daughter, Rebecca, and her husband, Austin, as well as her brother-in-law, Robert, his wife, Martha, and sister-in-law, Ann Denninger, who both are retired and living in Dallas, TX, and Bill’s daughter, Adrienne, and her husband, Colton, and their daughters, Caroline and Kayleigh, who live in Zebulon, NC, along with countless family members and friends who loved her, and whom she loved. This includes Paddy, her dog, who loved to ride shotgun with her, always protective.
To celebrate her life and the love she spread to all, a memorial service will be held in her honor at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, CT, 06905 on Friday, May 22nd, 2026 with viewing from 5 to 7 PM. There will be a funeral mass at 10 AM, May 23rd, at Saint Leo's RC Church, 24 Roxbury Road, 06902 in Stamford, CT with her interment immediately afterwards at Green-Wood Cemetery, Fifth Avenue at 25th St., Brooklyn, NY, 11232. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman.
The family requests that donations be made to Saint Leo’s RC Church in Stamford, CT in lieu of flowers.
