

Stu Liberty, a wonderful, loving man passed away at the age of 66 years old on September 1, 2015 at Danbury Regional Hospice with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born on November 19, 1948 at Stamford Hospital to Frank and Carol Ellis Liberty. He went to Stamford Public Schools and graduated from Stamford High, Class of 1966 and attended Yankton College, South Dakota. Stu was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He served from February 1968 to September 1970 and as a reservist from February 1971 to February 1974. He worked as a NIKE / Hawk data conversion specialist. Stu last worked for Rudy’s Executive Transportation where he met his love, Eileen. A true love story for them both. The adoring love he had for this three children plus his big smile, sense of humor, tremendous pianist, and his love of his Mets made him a man you couldn’t help but love. He leaves behind his wife Eileen Faughnan Liberty, his three adoring children, Bryan Liberty, Michael (Kelly) Liberty and Jennifer Liberty, his mother Carol Liberty, siblings Alan (Betty Jane) Liberty, Ann (Bob) Burrow, Frank Liberty, Jr. and his former wife, Goia Byers and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends. He was predeceased by his father Frank, Grandparents, aunts and uncles. We’ll say our goodbyes on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5-9 p.m. at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, and celebrate his life on Saturday September 12, 2015 at St. Leo Catholic Church 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford.
