

Victor Nolan Davis, age 58, passed away peacefully at his home in Norwalk, Connecticut on December 22, 2016. Born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 20, 1958, he was the third of the eight children of the late Edmond Willie Davis Jr. and Lillian Perry Davis.
Victor spent his formative years in Stamford, Connecticut where he received his academic education at John J. Ryle Elementary School, Turn of River Middle School and was a graduate of Rippowam High School in the Class of 1977. Upon the completion of his secondary education, he attended the Stamford Branch of the University of Connecticut and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
His professional career included service as the Manager and Employee Supervisor of the Davis Refuse and Waste Management Company, a family owned business. He also served as the proprietor of Maria's Laundromat for a period of twenty- one years before his retirement. After retirement, Mr. Davis became a successful and well known entrepreneur in Stamford, Connecticut.
Victor Davis was a member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford, Connecticut. His community affiliations included service as a venerable legacy member of and the president of the Lord and Ladies' Group of the Stamford Norwalk Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.
Victor was the devoted husband of his beloved wife Cynthia Davis for twenty- five years and the loving father of three children: Victor Christopher, Olivia Ann and Kaitlyn Rose. He enjoyed the quality time which he spent with his family inclusive of traveling with them to watch his twin daughters play in basketball tournaments. He reveled in the company of his son during sparring conversations and tremendously enjoyed his favorite passions of fishing, boating, water skiing and cooking. An accomplished flutist, his leisure moments were spent listening to all genres of music.
Victor was a dearly beloved husband; father, brother, uncle and friend. His gentle soul and warm and vibrant sense of humor endeared him to all. He was a compassionate man who possessed a generous heart and spirit which knew no boundaries and who exhibited a profound love for his family and friends. He will be missed by many and will live forever in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to know him.
In addition to his wife and children, Victor leaves to cherish his treasured memory, five sisters, Coralee Perry Davis of Northford, CT, Venus S. Davis of Stamford, CT, Rosa D. Davis Gallaher{ Jeffery} of Stamford, CT, Vanessa Davis Champion {Jeff} of Stamford, CT, and Tina M. Davis of Stamford, CT, and one brother , Timothy G. Davis {Debra} of Stamford, CT. He also leaves to cherish his memory his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George E. Davis and Harriet L. Davis of Norwalk, CT, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leslie S. Davis-Green and H. Lee Green of Trumbull, CT, his Godson, Parker Miles Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Edmond W. Davis, III.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave, Stamford from 9 am to 11 am with a funeral service beginning at 11 am.
