Virginia (Ginny) Price Lusardo died on December 12 at age 84 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in New York, raised in Stamford, graduated from Stamford High School in 1955, and was a resident of Norwalk until she moved to Florida in 1995. Ginny loved life and lived it on her terms. She showed her love by cooking and baking for family, friends, neighbors. Her legendary cheesecake always a favorite.
Ginny proudly worked in banking for 18 years, retiring in 1995 as Vice President of Private Banking at Fleet Bank (Westport) before she and her husband relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. Ginny found her favorite jobs working at Gospel Gardens and volunteering at Flagler Humane Society.
Ginny is predeceased by her “character of a husband” of 63 years, Frank Lusardo, who died in 2019, as well as her parents, Thomas Price and Alice Carson Price and sister Mary Valentine. She is survived by her son Michael Lusardo, his partner Beth, and daughter Cheryl Brzezinski and her husband Stan. She had five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, countless loving friends, and pets she adopted from various animal shelters.
A small private celebration of life will take place in Norwalk after the holidays. Her family is forever grateful for the hospice care she received from the staff at Runa Health. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to RVNA Health in Ginny’s Memory (donations can be made online at www.rvnahealth.org/supportus) or to the Humane Society of your choice.
